EPF account: how to update bank details in the EPF account

As part of its digital services, the Employee Provident Fund (EPFO) allows subscribers to update their details online. Account holders must have their Universal Account Number (UAN) handy to access this service. The UAN will serve as a single point for the various Member IDs that have been assigned to an individual by various organizations.

How to update bank details in EPF records
Step 1: Visit https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ to access your account.
Step 2: Go to the Manage tab and select the KYC option.
Step 3: Select Bank as document type. Enter, name according to bank statements, and IFSC, enter the correct bank account number.
Step 4: Select “Save” from the drop-down menu.
The data will appear under the “KYC pending approval” tab once it has been saved.
Submit the documents to the employer. After verification of documents by the employer. KYC pending approval will become “KYC digitally approved”.
Remember that your employer must approve bank account information before it can be changed on EPFO’s records. To expedite the process, the employee should seek approval from their employer for changing bank account information on file with EPFO.
Members will also receive a confirmation message from EPFO, after successful verification of bank details by the employer.
