“Sukuma Business ne Dfcu” campaign launched to support small businesses
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Uganda stand to benefit as dfcu Bank is launching a brand new offering aimed at giving them the opportunity to enjoy banking services while operating an account that suits their business needs at their convenience.
Titled ‘Sukuma Business ne dfcu’, the campaign calls on SMEs in all regions – central, metro, eastern, western and northern Uganda – to open personal and corporate current accounts and reap immense benefits such as no fees on UGX deposits, dedicated business accounts Bankers, reduced fees on monthly and transfer fees, access to fast and easy-to-use loans (TODs) as well as round-the-clock access and 7 days a week to their business accounts via smart distributors, Quick Banking and Agent Banking.

According to the Uganda Investment Authority, SMEs are the engine of Uganda’s growth, spread across all sectors with 49% in the service sector, 33% in trade and commerce while 10% are in the manufacturing industry.
Through the ‘Sukuma Business ne dfcu’ offering, customers with personal or corporate current accounts will be able to make fast payments and transfers and maintain an audit trail for quick credit facility assessments.
The dfcu personal current account is an excellent choice for a client whose transactions are generally business-like. It is designed to help them get the most out of their money by ensuring it is readily available when they need it and is available in multiple currencies with an opening deposit of Shs50,000, $100, 100 GBP or £100.
The dfcu Business Current Account offers specific benefits to medium and large entities that want to grow their business while gaining access to financial solutions that meet specific business needs. It is available in Shillings and Dollars currencies and requires an opening deposit of only Shs 100,000 or $100.
Both accounts have no minimum amount and no account management fees.
